Hosting sites are opening their doors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offering such diverse activities as kayaking, crafts, nature walks, visits with animals, and much more. At Sonoma Barracks the fun is free with plenty of kid-friendly activities – including live insects that you can hold, a miniature donkey to pet, making your own candle and baskets, and playing with Sonoma Ecology Center’s very cool 3D sandbox watershed model. There also will be opportunities to explore the Plaza using a self-guided tree map, and a newly released self-guided Quest hike for families to explore the beautiful Montini Preserve.
