In a joyous musical reunion, Bruno’s brother Jean Ferrandis returns to perform Halil, Bernstein’s haunting and still-relevant nocturne for flute and orchestra, followed by the powerfully expressive Flute Concerto No. 1 of Mozart. To open the program, Bruno conducts the stirring and poignant Four Sea Interludes from his favorite opera Peter Grimes; Beethoven’s 8th Symphony provides a thrilling conclusion.
